Something to Chew On
Something to Chew On in association with Public Health England and, BT Sport’s The Supports Club, is an interactive project aimed at teaching 7-8 year olds about their own health and wellbeing with a rugby focus.
According to government figures over a fifth of 4-5 year olds, one third of children aged 10-11 years old and two thirds of adults are currently overweight or obese. Obesity tends to track into adulthood, so obese children are more likely to be become obese adults. The government’s national ambition to combat childhood obesity is a sustained downward trend in the level of excess weight in children by 2020.

Healthy Living
Healthy Living is a combination of many things, including good nutrition, regular exercise and a positive attitude. Taking care of yourself and feeling pride in what you do can improve your quality of life.
Building upon that belief the Gloucester Rugby Community Team has developed a Healthy Living Programme that introduces some of the basic principles, practices and guidelines of healthy living. The programme encourages participants to establish a healthy lifestyle by discovering the facts from within a professional sporting environment.
