On Saturday 10th June, the Friar Tucks Pub in Quedgeley hosted their annual fun day, this year with a hearty twist, with vital funds being donated to the Gloucester Wheelchair Rugby Club

The Pirate themed day raised over £500 in honour of the Gloucester Rugby Community Charity which will go towards maintaining and developing Gloucester Rugby projects in the community; projects such as the Gloucester Wheelchair Rugby Club.

The day saw the enjoyment of a range of activities, throughout the day and into the night, including children’s entertainment and an exciting game of Walking Rugby which saw the Friar’s regulars find their sea legs resulting in a defeat over the local Gloucester walking rugby team.

On behalf of Gloucester Rugby and the Gloucester Rugby Community Charity, we would like to thank the Friar Tuck customers and pub owner Mark Holder for arranging such a successful event!
